CROQUENBOUCHE

I made a clay sweets croquenbouche recently. Here's how if you want to try it.

Make a mould from Sculpy mould maker clay in the shape of a choux puff.
Make the choux puffs from paper clay.

Dab on some raw sienna acrylic paint to represent the crust.

Dab on some white paint with a sponge to represent icing suagr.

Make a cone from white paper clay.

Glue on the puffs.

Fill the gaps with chocolate drops, strawberries and roses. Add little pearls.

Easy!

BERRY CHARLOTTE & CLAY MOULDS

My first attempt at a berry Charlotte.

I recently bought these cute deco sweets moulds to make chocolate monograms and assorted fruit.

A trial run with the monograms - stuck to little biscuits. So much fun to make.

DECO SWEET NINTENDO CASES & BAG

Here are a couple of things I made this weekend. I'm pleased with this bag - fabric from Ikea.

A couple of Nintendo deco sweets cases. I love deco sweets. It's amazing to see how many people across the globe love it too. For the whipped cream I used powdered spac filler mixed with a little water and lots of white acrylic paint. All these sweets are premade ones. The sauce is acrylic paint mixed with glossy sealer varnish.

We had dinner at this quaint hawker centre, Lau Pa Sat. One could dine on pig's organ soup, but I much prefered the satay.

On our last day, we headed back to good old Orchard Road to snap up some last minute bargins at the sales.

I love Orchard Road. Beautiful shops, enormous green trees, lush gardens and lots of happy people.

Nice.

When in town, we always buy and icecream sandwich from one of these funny little carts. You can have your slab of icecream between wafers or bread which is rather like sponge cake.

And so ends my little trip to Singapore. I am very happy with all my crafty purchases. I seem to discover new craft and fabric shops each visit. So time to start saving up for my next trip. It could be a while though - private school fees for my kids are more of a priority!

PANDA SOFTIE

I made this whacky panda softie for a little boy's fisrt birthday. The pattern comes from an Aranzi Aronzo softie craft book.
I quickly made a matching card. I hope he likes it.
