Another win last night to the Hawks in the first round of the finals. So they have next week off to rest, and then if they win the following week they will play in the grand final match. The AFL grand final is a big deal in Australia and to win it is every AFL fan's dream. There are alot of celebrations leading up to the day, with awards ceremonies and a big parade with the two qualifying teams through the middle of the city in Melbourne. The game is held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground which is a famous Australian landmark.
Hawthorn are the favourites to win the grand final this year, and I'm certain they can do it.
I would love to attend the grand final, but tickets are difficult to obtain and my daughter is studying for her final school exams so it will have to watch from the comfort of my sofa.
