BEAD SHOPPING-SINGAPORE

The best places to purchase beasds in Singapore are Arab Street in Kampong Glam, and People's Park Centre in Chinatown (not to be confused with People's Park Complex)
There is a great variety to choose from, and all at fantastic prices compared to Australia.
I found: charms, findings, Swarovski crystals, pearls, gem stones and acrylics.

I visited the following on Arab Street:
Kin Lee & Co - findings, chains and beads
C Rashiwala Bros. - lots of Swarovskis

People's Park Centre:
Shino Beads - good for acrylic bicones used in Japanese kawaii beading.
Mix and Match - lots of Swarovski's
Sing Mui Heng - a bit of everything.
Lai Guan - massive store selling: deco, findings, stones, Swarovskis, pearls, gem stones and charms. Most packets are 2 for the price of one, so prices are very good.

I wonder why my luggage was so overweight???

This cute little bird cage is from Lai Guan. Singaporeans are so lucky to have all these wonderful bead shops to choose from. I can't wait to get stuck into some beading projects. By the way, most of my inspiration comes from Bead Friend, which is a Japanese beading magazine published 4 times per year. It has the most gorgeous projects, but many of the beads are impossible to find in Australia, but readily available in Singapore. You can buy Bead Friend from Amazon.jp, Kinokuniya and Ebay.
