ROWING

 Last weekend we flew to Rockhampton for the Central Queensland Rowing Regatta. Rockhampton is a country town in Central Queensland. The regatta was held on the beautiful Fitzroy River.

My son's quad team came first, and beat the other crews by a big margin.
It was a huge thrill for our son, who has endured so much physical and mental pain since he was diagnosed with insulin dependent diabetes 6 months ago. But, we are determined that diabetes will not stop him from living a wonderful life.
Another exciting win for my football team Hawthorn, which makes it 11 wins in a row.
So all in all, a very happy weekend for me.

    Congratulations! Rowing is a lovely sport ... especially when you're sitting under a tree with strawberries and champagne, watching from a safe distance. ;)
