I was dying to get started on my craft shopping, and the first craft store I visited was KIWA beads. It is inside the LaForet building in Harajuku (same street as Kiddyland) La Foret sells mainly fashion and accessories for young skinny people, so it was of little value to me ! Kiwa beads (http://www.kiwaseisakujo.jp/) is a wonderland of beads. I buy the Japanese magazine "Bead Friend", but I can never find the beads and findings required for their projects. But here right in front of me was every type of bead, finding and setting ever produced, more specifically, all the items required to make all the projects I have ever wanted to make. I had photocopied several Bead Friend projects and showed the staff. They were extremely helpful, spending a good 30 minutes selecting all the required elements for the projects. Kiwa consists of 2 stores only a few metres apart. One store specialises in Swarovski crystals and the findings and settings that go with the crystals. The second store sells: kits, Czech fire polished beads, seeds, pearls and deco sweets items. I actual visited Kiwa on 2 occasions, because once was not enough to browse through all their products. Lovely staff, great service, extensive range - what more could I ask for ? Credit cards accepted at the Swarovski store only.
